It’s #StoutSeason and this @oddsideales Deleterious Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels is everything I hoped it would be. So delicious!
Seelbach's first private label: French Toast and Maple Syrup—66% 2-yr 6-mo & 34% 10-yr 2-mo old bourbon finished for 28 days in new medium toast French oak barrels and then 60 days in ex-bourbon maple syrup barrels. #BreakfastBourbon #bourbon #barrelfinished @drinkseelbachs
Labor Day weekend trip to Michigan and thinking about stout season, and lucked upon these Deleterious gems from @oddsideales!
Available today from @bluegrassdistillers, a new #BottledInBond Blue Corn bourbon. 75% blue corn, 21% wheat, 4% malted barley. I’ll be trying it soon!
As heard on the last #BourbonCommunityRoundtable, there’s room for one more finished #bourbon and it’s @drinkseelbachs first private label release, available tomorrow! French Toast and Maple Syrup—that’s right, 66% 2-yr 6-mo & 34% 10-yr 2-mo old bourbon finished for 28 days in new medium toast French oak barrels and then 60 days in ex-bourbon maple syrup barrels. #BreakfastBourbon @bourbonr
Enjoyed tasting the new @fourrosesbourbon 2021 Limited Edition Small Batch with insights from Brent Elliott—definitely be on the lookout for this one! Full review coming soon and then I’ll be out looking for more. Four recipes aged 12 to 16 yrs, NCF, barrel proof 57.1% ABV. Link in bio for full review.
Lineup is set for a #BottledInBond tasting in August. Two bourbons and one rye. All affordable. All hidden gems. Which one will come out on top blind?
Great evening with Bill Jr. and Rob Samuels and many Bourbon friends, and an exciting new destination for @makersmark fans! Post coming soon.
Warmed my heart to see Jimmy in posts today so I know what I’m opening this weekend. I’m a big fan of @wildturkey Rare Breed WT-03RB. For 9 yrs this *batch* had the same code & proof but WT created many sub batches with different % of ages, focused on hitting 108.2 proof each time. Credit to @rarebird101 for this intel & cheers to the old WT barrel entry of 107.
